Do QBE own motorcycle-insurance.com.au?

No, motorcycle-insurance.com.au is owned by Motorcycle Management Services Pty Ltd, which is a private company. Motorcycle Management Services Pty Ltd trading as motorcycle-insurance.com.au is an authorized representative of QBE Insurance (Australia) Ltd.

Does motorcycle-insurance.com.au sell products for other insurance companies?

Presently motorcycle-insurance.com.au only distributes QBE motorcycle policies.

What types of policies do you offer?

We offer

• Comprehensive, (including Named Rider and Good Rider options).
• Legal Liability, Fire & Theft.
• Legal Liability Only.
• Fire and Theft only (for unregistered motorcycles; mainly dirt bikes.)

How can I pay my premium?

There are various ways to pay your premium - please refer to the payment options page.

What if I find a cheaper quote?

We guarantee to beat any genuine offer - We may ask you for a copy of your quote to validate the details. See the "Price Guarantee" tab for further details & conditions.

Do you offer Agreed Value or Market Value?

We offer both Agreed & Market Value on most bikes. There are some conditions. E.g you can't choose any agreed value - we need to agree the amount is reasonable for the next 12 months taking into consideration issues like the condition of your bike, distance travelled, accessories & modifications, demand for special models.

Can I insure my riding gear & helmet?

Yes, Motorcycle apparel and helmets are included as an additional benefit with our standard policy at no extra cost. Up to $4000 per incident and up to $2000 per item can be claimed.

If the accident is not my fault do I have to pay my excess?

If the other party admits fault and they (or their insurer) agree to cover the costs you wont need to pay your excess. If liability is in dispute (which is common at the start of the claim) you will need to pay your excess. If a successful recovery occurs your excess is refunded to you.

Do you offer a discount for insuring multiple bikes?

We don't have a standard discount - however we acknowledge you can only ride one bike at a time and therefore the risk is lower. If you wish to insure more than one bike with "Named Rider" cover, we will provide you with a discount. The discount will vary depending on the number, type & value of the bikes. Are others covered to ride my bike?

Except with a “Named Rider” policy, all riders who are licensed to ride your bike are covered, however, if you do not have them noted on your policy, there will be an additional "undeclared rider excess" which will be noted in your policy schedule; which is usually $500.00.

If I lodge a claim are my repairs guaranteed?

If we authorized repairs, the workmanship on repairs is guaranteed for the life of the motorcycle.
